Alex Easton MLA has today received an update from the SE Trust on a proposed new build for Ravara Training & Resource Centre.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“Having visited the Ravara Training & Resource Centre with my colleagues the Mayor Robert Adair, Alderman Bill Keery and Councillor Nigel Edmundson we were shown around the facility were we met staff and all those that use the centre. It was clear that the staff do an excellent job and was impressed by their dedication, we were shocked at the how the building clearly did not meet the demands and needs that it was designed for so I gave a commitment to write to the SE Trust to receive an update on what stage the proposed build is at. I also agreed to arrange a tour at the NI Assembly for those that use the centre which is now arranged.”

“I am pleased that the SE Trust are still committed to the proposed new build at Ravara, and have submitted an updated Capital Plan 2017/18 to the health Department and that the SE Trust see this as a key priority, I will continue to lobby for a new facility as best I can. “
