ALEX EASTON MLA SAYS ARDS AND NORTH DOWN NOT GETING ITS FAIR AMOUNT OF ROADS FUNDING.

Alex Easton MLA has today expressed deep alarm after a NI Assembly question to the Infrastructure Minister showed figures on expenditure for roads in the  Ards and North Down area, are not being treated fairly in terms of funding .

“I really am shocked and disappointed at the figures produced for a NI Assembly question on the funding for each council area for Transport NI for new capital maintenance and also Resource Structural maintenance for funding for our road network. The figures reveal that Ards and North Down Council area get the least amount of funding for roads maintenance and for new road resurfacing compared to all other council areas across Northern ireland...

ALEX EASTON MLA CALLS FOR ENCLOSED DOG EXCERSISE AREAS FOR DONAGHADEE, MILLISLE AND HOLYWOOD.

Alex Easton MLA has today called for enclosed dog exercise areas for Donaghadee and Millisle.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“I have witnessed at first hand the dog exercise areas in Newtownards and Bangor and believe them to be a great success for dog owners to allow their dogs to run free and interact with other dogs.”

“The areas are fenced in with some benches for dog owners to sit and chat and socialise while their dogs can play and enjoy interacting with other dogs, there is also bins to deposit any unwanted items. I believe these areas have been a great success and I have myself used them for my own dog foerexercise and enjoyment.”

“I believe the council should role these out to other areas such as Donaghadee, Millilse and Holywood.”
