Alex Easton MLA was relieved that someone was not seriously hurt as building partially collapses in Donaghadee, onto car.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“I was relieved that nobody was seriously hurt as a result of this unfortunate accident of partial collapse of a building at High Street, Donaghadee. A car was damaged and also the building, my office have been working with the owners and helped to report the incident quickly to Transport NI, PSNI and also building control at the Council. I would praise the quick action of all the owners and statutory agencies that quickly sealed the area of to ensure that the area was safe for residents which resulted in part of High Street, Donaghadee being closed, however it is better to ensure the safety of residents and endure some traffic delays in the town. If there is anything further that our office can do to help the owners of the business we are only too happy to help in any way we can, the safety of the people of Donaghadee is a priority!”
