Alex Easton MLA has today called for the return of medals, stolen in a robbery at Manor Street, Donaghadee.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“I am today calling for the return of the medals stolen from a house in Manor Street in Donaghadee long with all other items. These medals are of great sentimental value and are an important part of the local history of Donaghadee, these medals were awarded to Coxwain Hugh Nelson after the Sir Samuel Kelly lifeboat rescued survivors of the MV Princess Victoria in 1953.”

“I am calling on anyone with information to help with the recovery of these items to contact the family, myself or the PSNI. I would urge those responsible to explore their consciences and to return the items stolen and do the right thing for once in your lives.”
