Alex Easton MLA has welcomed proposals by Fold Housing Association to build 178 new homes in Rathgill.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“I welcome the news that Fold Housing Association is to consult the community about building 178 new social housing in the Rathgill area. I understand the public consultation will start at the end of August, on proposals to build 178 dwellings which will include 1 bedroom apartments, 2 bedroom 3 and 4 bedroom property’s. As many people are aware there is a huge waiting list with the Housing Executive for people looking for homes, the development of 178 new homes will go a long way to reducing the Housing Executives waiting list and give young families a chance to get a new home. I fully support the proposals and look forward to hearing what the consultation results say from the feedback from the local community, which is vitally important before the proposals go ahead.”
