Alex Easton MLA and Alderman Bill Keery are delighted that the Education Authority has finally removed the portacabin from the Cotton school site.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“This is a great result as we have been trying, for several years, to get the Education Authority to remove this dangerous eyesore from the old Cotton primary school site. The residents had been forced to look at this eyesore for far too long, and there will be relief that the Education Authority has finally removed it and that the residents no longer have an eyesore to look at through their windows or drive and walk past.”

Alderman Bill Keery said:

“I have been working alongside Alex Easton MLA to put pressure on the Education Authority to remove this for the residents for several years, it has been badly damaged over the years due to vandalism and just forgotten by the Education Authority to the detriment of residents at the Cotton. It is a relief that it has finally been removed and the whole site looks much better for it.”
