Alex Easton MLA has today called on TNI to explain their plans to address the flooding issue that occurs every time it rains on the Balloo Avenue, Bangor.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“I have written to TNI yet again to ask what they plan to do to address the flooding issues that occur every time there is rain on Balloo Avenue, Bangor. This issue has been going on for years and has been reported to TNI for years yet TNI seem to be either unwilling or unable to address the issue of constant flooding at this point behind the busy shopping centre at Sainsbury’s. TNI cannot ignore this as there is obviously a drainage issue and also the fact that if a car gets stuck in the flooding it will cause damage to the car and becomes a health and safety issue for the driver, let alone anyone trying to walk along the flooded footpath. Time TNI got their fingers out of their pockets, and to come up with a plan to address this flooding issue at Balloo Avenue, no more excuses action is needed, so let’s see the plan.”
