Alex Easton MLA and his colleague Councilor Wesley Irvine have been shocked at the appearance of a sink hole along the pathway at Ballyhome Esplanade.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“It appears that the recent storms have been responsible for this to have occurred but from what we can see the hole on the surface is but a small section the cavern beneath stretches for a long way. This sink hole has been long in the making and we can only be thankful that nobody was walking along Ballyholme Esplanade when this happened. The Council have sealed the area and it is gong to take a considerable amount of work to fix this and secure from the sea and for the long term future.”
