Alex Easton MLA is delighted that the Bangor minor Injury Unit is to stay open.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“This is good news for the residents of Bangor that the Bangor Minor Injuries Unit is to remain open. The announcement by the Minister is very welcomed and I am happy he has listed to all the concerns expressed by the residents of Bangor. This will help to ensure that the Ulster Hospital AE Unit will not get swamped under due to winter pressures, and will retain a much valued and needed service in Bangor.”
“However the battle for the GP Ward is still ongoing says Alex Easton MLA, and I will continue to fight to retain this service; there are alternatives to the GP Ward closing which is why I and my colleagues have presented an alternative to the Health Department and will continue to pursue this in support of the staff and residents.”
