Alex Easton MLA today received an answer to a NI Assembly Question on the potential future of the old Cotton Primary School site.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“For far too long the old Cotton Primary School site has been left abandoned by the EA and has been vandalized and left in a state of utter decay. I have been pushing both the Education Authority and Education Minister to either use the site or demolish the site. Today I received an answer to a NI Assembly question which is indicating that the Education Authority is being retained by for potential use by CYPS for special education purposes. It is under consideration for additional special school provision. I hope that the site will be used again as it is unfair to local residents that it has been left in its current state, and I will be pushing the Education Authority to make a decision about the site being used again as soon as possible.”
