Alex Easton MLA has today been left stunned, hurt and dismayed by the decision of the Infrastructure minister not to reduce the speed limit at the A48 Cotton Road.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“I am completely stunned, hurt, dismayed and so disappointed for the residents living at the Cotton. This decision is scandalous especially after the resent accident, which seen a child being knocked down and seriously injured. This shows a complete lack of understanding of the Cotton and the traffic problems on the A48 and a complete lack of interest shown once again in North Down by the Infrastructure minister. Does the Minister expect someone to be killed before her Department take action, why is she ignoring the residents of the Cotton why won’t the Minister for Infrastructure come to north Down to see the many, many, issues that need addressed. I am so disappointed for the residents who I will now send a copy of the Ministers Written reply to my Assembly Question.”
