Alex Easton MLA has today condemned the latest anti social behaviour incidents that have occurred at Helens bay and Crawfordsburn.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“Despite a series of meetings last summer between the PSNI, Council and DAERA officials it seems that incidents of anti social behaviour persist as large crowds flock to the beaches. I want to condemn the incident were a Police officer was hurt and call on anyone with information to come forward to the PSNI. While we want people to enjoy themselves it must not be at the extent of making the lives of local residents a misery it must not be at the extent of law breaking and it must not beat the extent of causing anti social behaviour. The statutory agency will have to look outside if this behaviour continues and if that means stopping trains coming to Helens bay station an hot days then so be it.”
