Alex Easton MLA has today called for new bus shelters to be erected on the High Bangor Road and Newtownards Road, Donaghadee.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA:

Donaghadee is growing at a fast rate and the new developments at High Trees and on the old Donaghadee Carpets site has introduced a new and large increase of the population to Donaghadee, and unfortunately the infrastructure to support these new developments has not kept pace with these new developments. I believe that Translink have an important role to play at these new development by introducing bus shelters to allow the new residents to have the same shelters other areas have. It is important to have bus shelters for their children who attends schools in Bangor or Newtownards, this would also benefit the elderly who need to shelter from the weather during the winter months. It is with this in mind that I have written to Translink to ask for bus shelters to be erected at those two areas in Donaghadee.”
