Alex Easton MLA has today called on the Department of Community’s to open the Holywood Motte site to be opened all day on Sundays.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“Having visited the Holywood Motte site which currently opens only on a Sunday from 12 noon to 4PM you uncover a beautiful secret that is hidden away from the world. It is filled with beautiful trees and is a very beautiful place and of course we have the history of the Motte. I feel that this should be seen more and would call for a small extra time of opening the site for more people to see the area on Sundays from 9am to 4pm only. A few extra hours to allow more access one day a week is not a lot to ask and would open the site to those who which to see the beautiful area and discover one of those amazing sites in Holywood that is hidden from the world.”
