Alex Easton MLA has today called Ards and North Down Council stingy and mean over the amount of funding put towards community groups to celebrate the Kings Coronation.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“I know many community grouped are deeply disappointed by the level of funding provided for each community group to help them put on events to celebration out \kings Coronation. There are 60 Community organizations and they will only get £500 to organize events and celebrations for thousands of residents. This is not nearly enough to even pay for a bouncy castle let alone anything else. The Council are being extremely mean and stingy and I would urge them to re-look at this as its important they make an effort for the local community and ensure there is adequate funding for the community to celebrate the |Coronation of our King.”
