Alex Easton MLA is pleased to hear than TNI intend to introduce a speed limit of 20 MPH for Ballyvester Primary School on the Killaughey Road.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“I am delighted to get written confirmation that TNI have recognised the need to do something about the speed of traffic, after many complaints from parents. The school have been expressing very deep concerns for several years about the speed levels especially when pupils are going to and leaving the school. Having received many complaints and tying my very best for a number of years very little seemed to be happening despite numerous contacts with the PSNI and TNI. I understand that our local MP was also involved and deserves much of the credit. I am delighted that TNI have finally recognised the need for action to be taken before something tragic happened either someone being seriously hurt or worse, as a result it appears that TNI intend to introduce a speed limit of 20 MPH for Ballyvester Primary School on the Killaughey Road subject to ministerial approval.”
