Alex Easton MLA attended a service to dedicate the new War Memorial Plaque to remember conflicts taht British Forces have fought in across the World

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“I was extremely humbled to have been invited to take part in the service for the new plaque at the War memorial in Ward Park to remember the British Dead from other conflicts across the world. This was inspired by Ranger David Dalzell who paid the ultimate sacrifice for Queen and Country in Afghanistan. I am honored to have played a small part with my proposal on behalf of the family to North Down Borough Council who approached me and asked for this to be done. This is a humbling occasion, and it is important that we remember all the conflicts out forces have been involved in across the world to defend freedom and democracy.”
