Alex Easton MLA and road campaigner’s Terry Malcolm have today called on the Road Service to act after yet again another Lorwy hits the bridge along the Ballysallagh Road going towards Craigantlet.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“This type of incident is occurring far to often at the bridge, while I accept there is signage I don’t believe there is enough signage and believe the location of the current signage is not sufficient for lorry drivers to see there is an issue ahead.”
“I am today calling for the Road Service to take action before the bridge is damaged beyond repair and we will lose a part of our historical past. It is time for more signage, better placed and the Road Service need to look at some sort of flashing signage to alert lorry drivers.”
