Local politicians welcome the completion of resurfacing work in Donaghadee
Speaking today Janice MacArthur & Alex Easton MLA said:
Janice MacArthur Councillor and Alex Easton MLA have welcomed the resurfacing of land leading on to Victoria Crescent and Victoria Court Donaghadee. Speaking earlier this week Councillor MacArthur said, ‘I’m delighted that after so many years of trying by the residents, this work has now been carried out by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive. Alex Easton MLA and myself worked to establish ownership and once that was established, all parties were invited to a site meeting to see the state of the surface.
I’m particularly pleased local residents and parents walking their children to school now have a safe surface under their feet.’ Alex Easton commenting said, ‘My thanks go to the Northern Ireland Housing Executive for actioning this work with speed, it’s been long overdue. Thanks also to the residents; local knowledge in this case was key. I will be lobbying the DFI for a salt box for this location as winter approaches.’
