Alex Easton MLA was delighted that the DSD Minister Lord Morrow took the time out to visit and show his support for the kilcooley Women’s Education Centre on Thursday.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said.

“I was delighted that the DSD Minister Lord Morrow had accepted my invitation to come and visit the Kilcooley Women’s Education Centre and Primary School. Lord Morrow was met by the school principle Pauline and Alison Blaney who is the manager for the Kilcooley Women’s Education Centre. Lord Morrow was shown the many different classes and facility’s the Education centre offer the local community such as care facilities for toddlers, History Classes, IT classes and many other function that the kilcooley Women’s Education Centre offer the whole community. He also met students from other country’s such as Turkey, Romania and England who are taking part in the Erasmus Programme in partnership with the Kilcooley Women’s Education.”

“The Minister was very impressed with what had been achieved by the Kilcooley Women’s Education Centre and listened with concern about the problems they are encountering with the DEL Department. Overall the visit was very enjoyable and helped to build relationships between the DED Department and the Kilcooley Women’s Education Centre.”
