Alex Easton MLA has raised deep concern at reports VAPS are being used by children with illegal substances.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“I am alarmed that young people under the age of 18 are using vaps but also deeply worrying is that Vaps are being used to allow illegal substances to be added to get young people hooked and become addicted. I have even heard of children bringing these into out schools which is just unacceptable. There needs to be stricter enforcement of Vaps being used under the age of 18 and also there needs to be education taught in our school of the danger of using Vaps. I have written to the Department of Health on the issue and urge parents to be aware that some children have access to Vaps and the dangers these can pose to the health of out children,”
