Alex Easton MLA has today called on Ards and North Down Council to get their act together and do regular collections at bottle bank sites.

Speaking today Ale Easton MLA said:

“I am very disappointed to see that the council are not collecting and ensuring the bottle bank locations are not being regularly collected and kept clean. It was with great disappointed that I was contacted as a result of the mess of the Old Belfast Road bottle bank site, were I went out to see the bottle bank location on the old Belfast Road, Bangor to see what a mess the area has been left in, and was horrified by the mess.”

“The council have been letting the residents down with their silly antics with recycling centres and now not having the bottle banks being kept tidied and collected on a regular basis. I am asking the Chief Executive to get on top if the situation and ensure that these sites are regularly maintained, cleaned and collected, let’s show some pride in our areas please.”
