Alex Easton MLA has today called on Ards and North Down Council to get their act together and put at least one of the bottle banks back at Donagahdee.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“I was obviously very disappointed to see that the council remove bottle banks across the Council areas especially the one at the Donaghaadee Rugby Club. Donaghadee is becoming such a large town with huge increases in population and new homes being built it just does not make sense to have the one bottle bank at the Amenity site which is not ideal for many residents to get to. This removal of services is not helping with recycling targets and is really making a mockery of the councils claim to be a leading recycling Council”

“The council is letting the residents of Donaghadee down by not having the bottle banks in Donaghadee and I am asking the Chief Executive to get on top if the situation and get an extra bottle bank back into Donaghadee.”
