Alex Easton MLA and Alderman Wesley Irvine took time out to visit Bangor Marina and meet the manager Kevin Baird.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“We had a very enjoyable time visiting Bangor Marina to meet Kevin Baird the Manager, who made us most welcome. We discussed the old history of the site and the present with updates from Kevin on the wildlife that come into the marina such as seals and Otters. We also discussed the issue of costs and an issue was raised about the cost of White Diesel which was at an all-time high but was also a problem due to the NI Protocol which meant they could not use Red Diesel which was forcing boat owners to have to pay considerably more costs for fuel. There was a discussion about plans for the future and a tour around the facility. We would like to take the opportunity to thank Kevin Baird for the visit and offer any help needed for the future to contact us.”
