Alex Easton MLA has today welcomed an update on the proposed crossing for St Columbanus College on the East Circular Road, Bangor.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“Certainly this is asking a lot longer than it should have but it now appears the contact for the works for the pedestrian crossing are due to be issued before the end of this year. Having started this process with the former Head of St Columbanus College several years ago and held a meeting with DFI which started this process it certainly has been frustrating for the school and myself as we seek to provide a safe crossing for pupils and residents. Hopefully we are now on course and I will continue to update and pursue this issue which I started the process for to a conclusion in the near future.”
