Alex Easton MLA has today welcomed the decision by BT to refurbish one of the last Red Telephone Boxes in North Down in Donaghadee.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“ I am delighted that BT have recognized the important of maintaining one of the last Red telephone boxes in use in North Down, very few of these historical phone boxes are now left to us and are an important part of our history. I am delighted that the Red Phone box at Hunts Park is to be repainted and refurbished and keeps as part of the local history. It is important that we preserve and keep this Red phone box and ensure it is maintained for use by the public. I would thank BT for responding in such a positive way for my request to have the phone box kept and restored.”
