Alex Easton MLA has today warned Ards and North Down Council not to close either the Donaghadee or Millisle Civic Amenity sites.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“I am warning the council not to be silly and even consider closing either or both Civic Amenity Sites at Donaghadee or Millisle. This proposal is just another stupid idea which will back fire and actually decrease recycling as residents would have to go further afield. Both Civic Amenity sites are well used by residents in Donaghadee and Millisle and there is absolutely no valid reason to consider such a preposterous proposal. I am asking the Council not to fall for such a proposal put forward by however as we know from experience it will upset the residents of Donaghadee and Millisle, it I not needed and is just a hair brain scheme put forward to save money!”
