Alex Easton MLA with his colleague Councillor Daniel Allen are to ask businesses in Main Street to sign a Petition for the removal of TNIs Loading Bays.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
It has now come to light that in the matter of just over a month that 179 people have been giving parking tickets for parking in these loading bays. These loading bays are the worst decision that has been ever made for parking in Bangor and they have to go. Not only are vans ignoring the loading bays and still double parking there is a zeal being shown by the parking attendants to give people tickets. This is affecting businesses in Main Street and they have to go! I have arranged a meeting with the TNI Minister in January and I hope to present the petition from local businesses to the Minister then.
