Alex Easton MLA has given his support for the calls for CCTV for Donaghadee by the Donaghadee and Commerce & Development Group, with a petition of over 1000 names handed into the Mayor to bring to council.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said

“I am totally supporting the call for CCTV for Donaghadee by the Donaghadee and Commerce & Development Group, it is clear that with a petition of over 1000 names from residents from Donaghadee that the people of Donaghadee want CCTV and believe it would be not only an asset to the town it would also help to discourage crime and any anti-social behaviour. I believe CCTV has been a big factor in deterring crime in town centres and a big fan of CCTV having proposed in years ago for Bangor and Holywood. I have asked my colleague the Mayor to raise this at Council, and mentioned it to the PSNI.”
