Alex Easton MLA has today received word from the Ards & North Down Council that the Donagahdee War memorial is to revamp.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“I am delighted to get word from the Council that the Donaghadee War memorial s to get a revamp. Having been down at the war memorial recently I was deeply concerned at the state of the War memorial which was very dirty and was in my opinion in need of a revamp. I then contacted the Council and have received a reply which has included the Donaghadee War memorial in a scheme for 2018 across the Borough to have works done to clean up the War memorial, refurbish the gates and railings and names inscribed on the war memorial. This is good news and will ensure the Donaghadee War memorial will be in good shape for the future. I would take this opportunity to thank the Council for looking and taking this issue seriously.”
