Alex Easton MLA has praised the quick response and actions of the Army bomb disposal officers, who were called to the beach near Donaghadee on Sunday, after a second world war device was discovered on the shore.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA:

“I cannot praise the efforts and the quick response of the Army bomb disposal officers to this serious issue. These Second World War devices are washing up on our beaches far too often, and have the potential to kill. It is important that if anyone finds such devices not to touch them or move them. Call the PSNI and don’t allow anyone near the device. A Big well done to everyone and thankfully no body is hurt.
