Alex Easton MLA has received word from TNI that Beechwood Gardens/Hawthorne Drive and Southwell Rd, Bangor has been put on the reserve list for road and footpath resurfacing.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“Having received many complaints by residents about the state of the road and footpath infrastructure in the Beechwood Gardens/Hawthorne Drive and Southwell Rd, Bangor areas in recent times, I was pleased that in a letters I received from Transport NI that they have recognised that the road and footpaths at these areas are in much need of repair. The only disappointment is that TNI have only put these areas on the reserve list, which means it may take some considerable time before funding becomes available for any works to start. I will continue to pursue these issue to try to push Transport NI to take action as soon as possible, because the residents of these areas deserve quicker and better action.”
