Alex Easton MLA was today delighted to hear that Bangor Football Club were to receive a Civic Reception and funding from Council.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said;
“I was delighted to hear that my call for Bangor Football Club to receive a Civic Reception in recognition of Bangor winning the Intermediate Cup was put through Council by my colleague Councillor Wesley Irvine. Bangor Football club deserve recognition for their endeavours for last season’s success with coming second in the league and for winning the Intermediate Cup.”
“This comes on the back of the club putting in a state of the art 3G pitch which has the latest technology and is the envy of all clubs across Northern Ireland. Bangor Football Clubs success does not stop there, and I was delighted to see that Council have also awarded Bangor Football Club £3750 for the Capital & Small Sports grants for the purchase of dugout benches and the purchase of a Field Turf Brush to maintain the new 3G pitch. Things are looking very positive for Bangor Football Club and I would call on the residents of Bangor to get behind the team and go and see the new facility’s at the club.”
