Alex Easton MLA has expressed concerns at the amount of residents being caught out by car parking fines introduced at the Flagship Centre in Bangor.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“I have received several complaints about car parking fines that are being served on residents who had been parking at the Flagship Centre who had not released that car parking charges had been reintroduced. Having had a look round I believe there is not enough signage displayed and that there was not enough advertisement to give people a chance to realize that the flagship car park had gone back to charging. I would encourage the flagship centre to be considerate over the first several months while people get to know and understand that charging has started, and for those caught out over the first couple of months, that maybe they are given a warning ticket rather than a fine.”
