Alex Easton MLA has today expressed plans by Translink to relook at moving or removing all together the bus stop at Main Street, Conlig.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“I am concerned to hear that this bus stop is being considered for either total removal or to be moved to another location especially when I alongside the local community had worked so hard to obtain it for the residents living in the area. This bus stop is needed by the local community especially for the elderly and school children and any plans to either remove or place elsewhere must be with the consent of the local community.”
“I have already met with Translink and expressed my concerns and asked that a meeting be set up with representatives of Conlig Village to discuss the issue before any decision is made and that the views of the residents are taken into consideration.”
