Alex Easton MLA and Alderman Bill Keery are both delighted at the news from an email that the Education Authority have agreed to remove the portacabin from the Cotton school site.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“This is fantastic news as we have been trying for the last several years to get the Education Authority to remove this dangerous eyesore from the old Cotton primary school site. The residents have been forced to look at this eyesore for far too long, and there will be relief that the Education Authority have finally acre to remove it.”
Alderman Bill Keery said:
“I have been working alongside Alex Easton MLA to put pressure on the Education Authority to remove this for the residents, it has been badly damaged over the years due to vandalism and just forgotten by the Education Authority to the detriment of local residents at the Cotton. It is a relief that it is to finally be removed.”
