Alex Easton MLA has declared the Kilcooley Jobs Fair a total success with 110 jobs on offer.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“I am delighted despite the awful weather on Friday that the Kilcooley Jobs Fair was a great success, and that this should now be the way forward to attract young people looking for jobs and work placements. This partnership approach by the Banger Chamber of Trade, Charter NI, DEL and myself attracted a dozen businesses, who between them all had 110 real jobs and work placements on offer.”
“A total of 102 people turned up wanting to look for a job, and I know that the employers were very pleased with the enthusiasm and quality of interviews that were conducted on the day. I believe that this is the first even of its kind done in the local community with such a partnership approach, and would be calling on DEL to learn from this great success and fallow this model right across Northern Ireland.”
“I would like to thank Ken Sharpe from the Bangor Chamber of Trade, Charter NI and Roisin Sloan from DEL for helping to organise this jobs fair and for making it a great success.”
