Alex Easton MLA has condemned those responsible for setting fire to Virgin portaloos beside an electricity substation in Bloomfield Estate. Condemns
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“This is a reckless thing for anyone to do, not only was it bad enough that portaloos have been set on fire and property damaged belonging to Virgin, the fact it was beside an electricity substation could have led to major power cuts rights across Bangor, it could have also led to a loss of life. There have been a series of incident were someone has stated fires in and around the Bloomfield area, and it only takes one of those fires to burn down a property and lead to someone losing their life. I would condemn the reckless idiots involved, and ask them to stop before someone gets hurt or worse. Do those involved want to get a criminal record, if they don’t then they need to think again as this sort of behaviour will ruin the rest of their lives. I am appealing to anyone with information to come forward to the PSNI to assist with their enquires, so this can be stopped before someone is hurt”.
