Alex Easton MLA has today called on the Department of Community’s and Ards and North down Council to organize a Careers job Fair to be held in Holywood.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“ I have been involved in organizing three Jobs Fairs in Bangor over the last ten years and there has not been one since before the Covid pandemic and it’s time to organize one and help our people get jobs, and I believe it should be the turn of Holywood to host one.”
“Looking at venues and a time scale if we could agree for it to be held in the heart of the local community and that’s why I believe Holywood Leisure Center would be a good venue. It is import for a job fair to be a success, is to ensure that the Community are involved as well as Bangor Chamber of Commerce.”
“This would potentially be a Fantastic opportunity for those looking to further their Training or Careers so let’s help them along their journeys and with that in mind I have written to the council and Department of Community’s to ask them to look at the possibility of hosting one in Holywood.”
