Alex Easton MLA has today called on the Department of Infrastructure to sort out the fencing across North Down.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“This has been an on-going issue for years and I was rather dismayed by the lack of maintenance put into North Down by the Department of Infrastructure. The fencing across various locations such as Conlig, The Bangor Ring Road and the Rathgael Road are all falling apart and not being maintained and our a complete and utter eye sore, it is a mess with huge gaps and most of the actual fencing missing in many locations. They are not been maintained and is no use to pedestrian safety or residents living across North Down or indeed car users due to lack of maintenance. The fencing are ugly and unsightly and the Department of Infrastructure needs to invest in replacing the fencing or indeed removing it if it serves no purpose, but more importantly fix it for the safety of the residents of North Down were it is a safety issue which is the priority.”
