Alex Easton MLA has today called for a pedestrian crossing for the safety of children on the Clandeboye Road, Bangor.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“In light of the new Council facility for children and young people that has seen a playpark, Muga Pitch and football pitch created. There is obviously going to be an increase in children crossing the Clandeboye Road. I believe after speaking with the Clandeboye Village Associations chairman Aaron McMahon and having the obvious pointed out that there will be an inevitable increase in children using the facility and having to cross the Clandeboye road. With this in mind I have written to Transport NI to request that a survey is down to ascertain the need for a Pedestrian Crossing in light of the new play facilities. I believe this is a vitally important issue and intend to campaign for this for the safety of our children.”
