Alex Easton MLA has today expressed plans by Translink to look at moving or removing all together the bus stop at Main Street, Conlig for a second time as madness.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“I am concerned to hear that this bus stop is being considered for either total removal or to be moved to another location especially when I alongside the local community had worked so hard to keep this for the residents living in the area for a second time. This bus stop is needed by the local community especially for the elderly and school children and any plans to either remove or place elsewhere must be with the consent of the local community.”
“I have already met with Translink and there is clearly an overwhelming view from residents that they don’t want the bus stop moved, it is time to end this saga and leave the bus stop alone were it has always been”!
