Alex Easton MLA attended a Civic Reception at North Down Borough Council to celebrate the winning of the Intermediate Cup.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“I would firstly say well done to Bangor Football Club for winning the Intermediate Cup and for this richly deserved Civic reception to acknowledge by North Down Borough Council this fantastic win. As we all know Bangor Football Club has come on leaps and bounds over the last several years and has the most advanced 3G football pitch in the country, it also delivers huge benefits to the local community with local clubs queuing up to use their facility’s.”
“For Bangor football Club this is just the start of a journey to get back into the Premiership and play alongside the Big guns were they belong. To help realize this I would urge North Down Borough Council to do all they can to support Bangor Football Club to reach this goal by taking the club seriously when they come to work in partnership together. It is time a partnership approach develops between Council and Bangor Football Club to realize the potential Bangor Football Club has, and to show what can be down when that happens.” Ends:
