“It is quite clear from residents living in Spencer Street, Downshire Road, Strand Avenue, Downshire Place and Park Drive in Holywood that they are all experiencing extreme difficulty getting parked outside their homes or even nearby.
I understand that a trial scheme, is now operating in parts of Belfast, why can’t we have that? I believe that residents have the right to be able to park outside their own homes and not have to face a daily battle to be able to do so. I will today be writing to the DFI to ask why it is taking so long to include these streets to be included in a trial to have residents-only parking put in place. To see if this will end the nightmare that residents are having to endure daily, year after year.”
