Alex Easton MLA has been left deeply angered at the state of the footpaths in Towerview, which are covered in weeds and broken slab stones.

Speaking to day Alex Easton MLA said:

“I have been contacted by large volumes of residents who are deeply frustrated at the state of the footpaths in Towerview. Having visited the area and seen at first hand the level of weed growth, and general state of the footpaths with broken slabs is just very shocking!”

“I have contacted the Road Service to demand a meeting to view the footpaths in the area and to see at first hand the level of weed growth which is unacceptable. I believe the current weed praying programme and the type of weed spray used is not working and that DRD need to relook at what they are using. I also firmly believe that the current footpaths in the entire Towerview area need to be taken away and replaced with new tarmac surfacing. I will be pushing hard to try and get a scheme for the area.”
