Alex Easton MLA was deeply angered at the dumping that has occurred at Orlock.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“I have been left flabbergasted at the amount of dumping of dozens of tyres that has occurred at the car park area at Orlock. This dumping is deeply unwelcomed by the local community and is an act of unwanted dumping which is polluting the local community, and an act of environmental vandalism, especially as the area is a fantastic area for wildlife and visitors to use the costal path.”

“This act of dumping is an act of sheer laziness, which has seen someone who couldn’t make the effort to take it to the correct site. It means that the Council or the NIEA will have to investigate who dumped the rubbish, and it also means that tax payer’s money will have to be used to remove the rubbish. This is totally unacceptable to the residents of Orlock. And I would urge anyone who knows who is responsible to report it to the Council or the NIEA. In the meantime the only good news is that the tyres have been cleaned up and taken away cleaned up.”
