Alex Easton MLA and Alderman Wesley Irvine visited the Juvenile Justice Center at Woodlands in Bangor.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“This was a great visit out to the Juvenile Justice Center at Woodlands with my colleague Alderman Wesley Irvine and to meet the Chief Executive Stephen Martin and his team. The visit started with a discussion about the site and what the staff’s role is across the site, and also the young people’s needs during their stay there. The site is truly amazing with a school, football and tennis and a swimming pool all available. There are trades taught and help towards qualifications for young people. We left the site after a tour and left with a much better understanding of the excellent work that goes on with in the Juvenile Justice Center at Woodlands and how much goes into running the facility with the staff, as well as outside agencies.”
