Alex Easton MLA has today paid tribute to the work that has been carried out in restoring the lettering on the Donaghadee war Memorial.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“Having been out to the Donaghadee War memorial before and after the work, I want to pay tribute to Albert Owens who also looks after the Palace Barracks Memorial Gardens in Holywood for taking the time to meet myself and Alderman Keery and for the excellent standard of work that he did on the lettering. It is important that we maintain our War memorials and we are fortunate that we have such a skilled lettering expert in Albert Owens.”
Speaking today Alderman Bill Keery said:
“It was amazing to see how much work goes into maintaining the lettering on a War memorial and how skilled the job is. I can’t thank Albert Owens enough for the work he has down to the Donaghadee War memorial.”
