Alex Easton MLA has condemned the hijacking of a car near the venal in Bangor.

Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:

“I would firstly like to condemn those responsible for the hijacking of a car; this is not the type of thing we want to see in the streets of Bangor or in our society. Those involved are wrong and their actions are inexcusable. I would praise the PSNI for their efforts in apprehending those responsible, and urge anyone with further information to assist the PSNI further with their investigation.”

Alex Easton MLA visits the Spar in Millisle with his colleague Councillor Robert Adair as defibrillator is stolen.

I am so disgusted that a person would actually steal a brand new defibrillator from the Spar in Millisle.This defibrillator was stolen on Friday evening and was only just installed on Wednesday. This piece of equipment is for the whole community and is to save people’s lives and for anyone to take this needs their heads examined. I would urge anyone with information please contact the PSNI or Spar for its safe return as this is too important. If the person responsible has a conscience then please return this to the rightful location you will be helping to save lives.

Alex Easton MLA has urged someone to take responsibility for a public lane.

“I have been asked by local residents to see if the lane that is regularly used by residents walking through from the Gransha Road into The Beeches is cut back and cleaned. The lane used to be cleaned and was formerly owned by the farm hath used to be on the site. The laneway as you can see has now been n ignored for several years and the lane has become overgrown and a mess for residents to have to negotiate as they walk along it. The laneway is also so overgrown it is now impeding on peoples back gardens and needs to be addressed. ALEX EASTON MLA EXPRESSES AMAZEMENT AT HOW CHEAP LISNEVIN BEING SOLD FOR.

Alex Easton MLA has today expressed amazement at the reported price that the former borstal at Lisnevin Millisle, Co Down has reportedly been sold for with a price tag of £1.2 million has now been agreed.

“I understand from reports that an agreed sign was placed on the for sale sign on Monday morning, two years after it was closed by the Northern Ireland Prison Service.

The last prison officer trainees started their training at Millisle in December 2015 and the Northern Ireland Prison Service closed the site as a training facility in 2016.

Sealed bids were accepted for the prime seaside property and now a due diligence test will be applied to the successful applicant.
