Alex Easton MLA has today revealed from an NI Written Assembly question that DSD plan to demolish the flats at Kilclief Gardens in Kilcooley in the next three to four month period.
Speaking today Alex Easton MLA said:
“This is good news to see that the flats at Kilclief are finally going to be demolished the current flats were not fit for purpose and was a huge problem just lying empty. I am glad that there is now a definite timescale for the flats to be knocked down.”
“This is good news for the residents of Kilcooley as a housing association will then step in to build new social housing in Kilcooley and help to improve the area even further for the future of Kilcooley. This is good news and I welcome this as a positive step forward by DSD.
